Dog First Aid Kit
This list of items is what
we use. We take this with us whether we are dogsledding or backpacking. The contents
are in a pouch that lashes to a dog pack. It is for minor injuries only, such
as cuts from rocks and tree branches, tick removal, abraded footpads, split nails,
etc.. Other, more severe injuries must be treated by a competent Veterinarian.
If a dog's limb must be immobilized, use sticks or something similar as splints
and VetWrap to secure it in place. Improvise a means of transporting the dog.
