Gus, a friend's (Dianna) Siberian youngster, gets to go for a short 6.2 mile run.

Below, as usual, the sun has not risen and it is about 38 degrees F outside. We are preparing for a short 6.2 mile run.
The training cart and water container, plus gear and my weight is around 550 pounds. The elevation is 4,333
feet above sea level.

Gus, the Siberian, all dressed up in harness and nowhere to go.....yet!

Before sunrise, with the floodlights off, there is still a lot of illumination from the full moon.

Down at the "hay barn", we stop for a few minutes and water.

Gus's thoughts on running with Samoyed Dogs..."Amateurs, I could do better without them".

Gus demands his fair share of water.

Nikita, our one year old lead trainee and Rocky are ready to go again.
With the sun just beginning to rise, they have an "angelic" aura.

Context of the movie clip.

• We are at a stop, so I can get the camera out.
• When we go, I almost loose it trying to hang on and steer as well as capture video.
• We are on the backside of the loop about one third of the total distance.
• This is a "rodent-rich environment", so the dogs have "distractions
  that require liberal use of "ON-BY"!
• It is hard to use camera and steer even on a relatively smooth surface.
• The sun is just beginning to break over the horizon.
• The coyotes are howling in the distance.
